Born in Jaén on February 16, 1959, I obtained the title of violin teacher from the Ramón Garay professional conservatory of music in my city and completed the studies of harmony, counterpoint and fugue.

In my youth and until I was 30 years old I was a professional musician, I played the electric guitar in a pop music group that had hits on national and international bestseller lists. With the group we toured the Nordic countries and several European countries, living for several years in an itinerant way in them. In those years, as a composer of pop music, I have edited and recorded songs performed by several national and international artists, highlighting the salsa song "Que yo me voy p'allá" recorded by the Puerto Rican orchestra "La Grande de Madrid" that sold in the United States just over three million copies.

Once settled in Jaén and completed my music studies, I directed different choral groups such as Cantoría de Jaén, with which we premiered in concert at Notre Dame, Paris, on July 21, 2001, some of my first sacred compositions for Choir.

Later, with Coral Aída de Jaén, we premiered my composition "Misa breve en A minor" for Choir and Organ, in Solemn Mass in the Holy Cathedral Church of Jaén, on February 7, 2010. The work was recorded and released on a CD.

With Coral Aida and the Orchestra of the Ramón Garay Conservatory of Jaén, on November 1, 2013 I premiered in the Aula Magna of the University my work "Requiem: Alfonso Duro in Memorian". Composition for Choir and Orchestra, conducting the concert and recording a CD.

With the Vandelvira Symphony Orchestra, created for the occasion, and the City of Jaén Choir, I premiered and conducted my work "Vandelvira Symphony" on May 17, 2018 in the Aula Magna of the University of Jaén, a tribute to Andrés de Vandelvira, architect of the Cathedral of Jaén and the Cathedral of Baeza. We performed it in both temples on November 9 and 16, 2018 respectively, with great success and influx of public. This work is also recorded on CD, played live at the premises of the Spanish Association Against Cancer.

On May 11, 2024, my work "Trombogiga al rondo" for tenor trombone and piano, has been awarded an "Honourable Mention Prize" at the international chamber music composition competition of the Vienna Classical Music Academy.
